TravelCenters of America, or TA, was formerly a 100% owned subsidiary of Service Properties Trust (Nasdaq: SVC) until it was spun out as a separate public company in January of 2007. SVC remains TA’s largest shareholder.
SVC also owns a significant number of our travel centers, which we lease from SVC pursuant to long term leases.
